WHY YOU NEED A FELLOWSHIP?
Heb 10:24-25 Let
us consider one another in order to stir up love and
good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves
together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one
another, and so much the more as you see the Day
approaching.
We are instructed as Christians not to avoid regular participation in a local fellowship of believers.
That means that a genuine Christian is involved in a local church.
Even though the bible says just the opposite, some people argue that it's ok to avoid church. Often it
is said that one can be a good Christian and not be part of a fellowship.
If belief in Jesus means that you become part of the Body of Christ, how can one part choose to be
independent or stand-alone? Any reasonable person must conclude that the function of one part of the body depends on
its connection to the whole.
Here are four key reasons
why believers need to be involved in a local fellowship:
1. God commands that we regularly fellowship
2. The
local church is Gods training center
3. It's a community
of accountability
4. It's our place of loving service
