THREE THINGS YOU MUST KNOW
WE MUST ANSWER TO ONE GOD
Through out millenniums mankind has conveniently deduced God down to a concept
called polytheism, which says God exists NOT as ONE, but as many gods to choose from. In the past God looked
over this ignorance but now He expects Humanity to repent. Since the foundation of creation all man has
had to do is stand on a hill and the realization of one intelligent creator speaks loud and clear. If that’s
not enough, the fact that he himself exists, is evidence alone that someone beyond him is responsible for his existence.
The bible declares in:
Rom 3:30 There
is one God who will justify.
I Cor 8:6
There is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ,
through whom are all things, and through whom we live.
God, in one sense, is the Father of all creation,
and eventually all creation must answer to Him. For clarification, lets say it this way – He is God
by creation but He is Father by choice. We are given the right to choose whether or not He
will be Father. There is only ONE God, and we will all answer
to Him. If you can accept this fact, you are in a good position to receive from Him.
WE MUST RECOGNIZE OUR SPIRITUAL NEED
The next thing everyone must know is that you must recognize or acknowledge
that you have a spiritual need. The bible declares to us in:
Mat 5:3
Blessed are those who recognize their spiritual need.
Mat 5:6
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for Gods way of being and doing right.
If
you recognize that you have a spiritual need and wish to respond to Gods way of being right then you won’t be disappointed.
In:
Rom 3:10
No one, in and of himself, is righteous, no, not one of us.
Rom 3:23
All have sinned, all have missed the mark, and fallen short of the glory of God.
The
penalty for sin goes back to one original sin, committed by Adam. Being the first man created, Adam
was given authority over the earth and decided to give that authority to Satan. Satan, who was at one time
one of Gods high-ranking angels (but sinned himself) assumed dominion on earth through Adam.
This
was treason against God and the penalty for treason is death and prison. The bible declares that the wages
of sin is death. Adam fell short of Gods way and through Adams sentence of death, all his descendants share
in his death. But the story does not end there.
Though the wages of sin is death, the Gift of God is life through
Jesus His love sacrifice. If a man could take the place of Adam and serve the sentence of death in Adams
place, Adam and all of his descendants could be restored to favor with God. Jesus said in:
John
3:16-17 God so loved the world that He gave
His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but
have everlasting life God
did not send Jesus into this world to condemn us but that the world through Him might be saved.
Jesus is known as the second/last Adam.
He stood in the place of the first Adam and served Adams sentence, which was death and confinement in the jailhouse
of Satan. The bible declares in:
II Cor 5:21
God made Jesus who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the
righteousness of God in Him.
I Cor
15:3-4
Jesus died for our sins according to the scriptures, and He was buried, and He
arose again the third day according to the scripture.
God was personally at work in Jesus restoring the
world to Himself, no longer holding your sin against you. Once the claim of justice was served
on Adams treason Jesus was resurrected out of Hades and He is now personally at the right hand of God representing
you and I as High Priest over the New Covenant.
The third thing everyone must know
is that we must choose our destiny. In the mind of God, when Jesus died on the cross it was you
and I that died. When Jesus went to the jailhouse of Satan, in the mind of God, it was you and I in jail.
Jesus paid the price for your freedom from Satan’s dominion. You are now free to
choose who you want to be your lord, Jesus or Satan. If you want to choose Jesus, the bible gives us
the steps to take in:
Rom 10:9-10
If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God has
raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. With the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation.
II Cor 6:2
Now is the accepted time; now is the day of salvation.
Whosoever
will the bible says, “Let him come.” That means this is your day. This
is your hour to be saved! If you want to make Jesus your lord, say out loud the following prayer:
PRAYER: GOD I COME TO YOU. I RECOGNIZE MY SPIRITUAL NEED. I BELIEVE YOUR WAY IS THE RIGHT WAY.
I CHOOSE JESUS AS MY LORD.
I AM NOW A CHILD OF GOD. THANK YOU FATHER FOR SAVING ME.
